Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 3:14AM New 'Transporter 3' Trailer with Jason Statham
Finally! We have some vital plot information for
Transporter 3!
I'm joking, of course. I mean, if the screenwriters
don't give a damn about the script, why the hell should we? I like to imagine
that in lieu of a treatment or an actual script, the writers just assembled four
index cards in this order when they made their pitch for this threequel:

Despite my earlier confining definition of Jason Statham movies, I thought
Death Race was fairly potent, actually. Even if had been completely lousy, I
was still surprised by the complete lack of interest in the film at the box
office. Let's face it, $53 million worldwide is a terrible number for a $45
million movie. Can this one do any better? I highly doubt it. November 26th is a
really weird time for this kind of movie and the first two could hardly be
described as big hits.

-Fast Cars
-Fight Scenes
-Shirt Optional
We kid Jason Statham because so many of his movies use those same four index cards. But Crank, Death Race, and the Transporter flicks all kind of play by similar rules. However, we do have a couple of specifics about how Transporter 3 is different from the first two movies in the series, and how it's more like Crank, curiously enough. And all of the secrets can be found in this new trailer.

I'll make the obvious comment, because somebody has to:
There was a Transporter 2?
The transporter movies were all good for what they were. Every once in a while you look for the pointless fast cars, kick ass movie. These deliver.
I could do without the rampant homoeroticism, though. And, you know, if the movies are going to be the exact same, what the hell's the point of doing more than one?
Guys, take it easy. The T movies are just that, movies. They help the popcorn go down! It's a way to vicariously kick ass, without actually kicking ass! Think of them as B grade Jason Bourne movies. And as a woman, I prefer Statham to Damon any day of the week.
what kind of audi did he drive?
