Monday, October 13, 2008 at 1:03PM Trailer - New 'Resident Evil' CG Movie, 'Degeneration'
I have a little admiration for the
Resident Evil movies,
even if they weren't great or anything. The first one wasn't bad, and of course,
it had that great storyline from the video game to play with. The sequel was
exactly that. But I thought last year's threequel was OK. It showed a lot more
life than the second one, in any case. They definitely cast Alice correctly;
Milla Jovovich was
exactly what that role needed. So if you went in not expecting Aliens, you could
have a good time with at least two of these flicks.
I bring this up because now there's a fourth one, and I
like the premise more than both
Apocalypse and
Extinction, and think it's a
shame that this direct-to-DVD sequel is computer animated. In a way, though, I
guess that represents Resident Evil coming full circle, but I wish they'd filmed
this one instead of one of the sequels or in addition to them.

There apparently will be a Resident Evil 4, currently scheduled for a 2010 release. Until then, though this next Resident Evil installment will be in stores on DVD on December 30th in the U.S.

Looks good, better then the movies. Not as much pop as the new RE5 game has but I'll take what I can get.
This looks a whole lot better than the pitiful life action movies they've made about the RE franchise, this actually is ABOUT the game, not BASED on it ;), what we fans were asking for.
to the articles author... you are a complete n00b, how can you dare to feel shamed about this sequel?? any true fan of the VG's or at least, any "non alienated redneck" could see that these 3 real action movies sux balls... mixin' "night of the living dead" with "matrix" doesn't work OK?? Thumbs up to this cgi flick.
