Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 9:30AM New Sony Storefront 'Quantum of Solace' Posters
I found a couple new
Quantum of Solace posters outside the Sony
Style store at Scottsdale Fashion Square mall yesterday. This makes a world of
sense because Sony is distributing the film, and we've already discussed the
brazen marketing and product placement tie-ins exploited by and in the next Bond
movie.

Quantum of Solace is the next big thing, arriving
in theaters on November 14th.
The store was closed when I walked by, so I don't know for sure, but there is a new Bond Z Series Sony Vaio laptop that this may be connected to. For the record, the Bond Z Series laptop is yours for the low, low price $5,242.
The posters don't reveal anything new, necessarily, although I can't remember a James Bond poster in the past that features multiple wounds or abrasions on 007. That's kind of an interesting touch. And Daniel Craig wears them well. I can tell you that they're slightly larger than a normal one-sheet, so if you've got a Sony Style store near you, check them out.

Yes, we've been joking about this campaign over here, and winding people up to the effect that "Quantum of Solace" is actually dog Greek for "looking good in a suit despite having had your face kicked-in during a rugby match".
Sony - laptops for secret agents. And bricklayers...
