Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 1:34AM 'Watchmen,' 'Friday the 13th' to Premiere Clips During Scream 2008
Something to look out for next week on SpikeTV: New
footage from
Watchmen and
Friday the 13th will premiere during
Scream 2008,
which airs Tuesday night, October 21st.
I would beg to differ with the official announcement
when it claims that Friday the 13th is one of "Warner Brothers' most
highly anticipated releases of the coming year," but that's just me. Still, the
Watchmen thing is pretty exciting.

What is Scream 2008? It's Spike's horror/sci-fi/fantasy/comics awards show, and I think it's about damn time we had something like that. I mean, where else can you find categories like Most Memorable Mutilation and Holy S@#$! Scene of the Year? Who do you think will win Best Director? Will it be odds-on-favorite Christopher Nolan? Tim Burton? Guillermo del Toro? What about Jon Favreau or Frank Darabont? Any takers on Rob Zombie? No?
So it's a perfect forum for both films, and frankly, it gives more people a reason to watch. And Smashing Pumpkins is performing live. Like I said, the new movie clips will give more people a reason to watch.
