I have zero ill will towards
F. Gary Gray
as a filmmaker, but if he's stepping in for the guy who directed Shawshank
Redemption on a new movie, then maybe
Law-Abiding Citizen isn't all it's cracked up
to be. Again, Gray has done some good stuff, especially The Italian Job,
but you just have an expectation when you hear something is going to be a
Frank Darabont
film and a different one when you hear it will be directed by F. Gary Gray.

Having said that, Darabont really hasn't made anything
good in over half a decade, so perhaps that gap is closing.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Gray will replace Darabont, who abruptly left the film after creative differences were cited. He inherits a project starring Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx, which isn't a bad place to start.
It's been a big week for Gray, who was previously announced as the director of the remake Armored, which will star Eric Bana. Gray's last film was Be Cool, the disappointing 2005 follow-up to Get Shorty.

Look, you have a right to your opinion (I saw this comment linked at IMDb), but come on:
"Having said that, Darabont really hasn't made anything good in over half a decade, so perhaps that gap is closing."
Are you just throwing that in for controversy's sake? Artists take breaks in between films, you know. I rather like that he reenergizes himself instead of turning into a five-film-a-year hack. Have you seen The Mist? As well as being a fine writer, his directorial instinct for the details of human behavior is unparalleled. Horror might not be for everyone, but he has elevated the genre right along with folks like del Toro and Bayona.
The name of film sounds is bulky, not interestingly.
And the plot will not turn out ordinary?
