Sam Raimi Delays 'Evil Dead 4'...Again
Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 12:14AM
You know what? Screw
Sam Raimi.
There - I said it.
“We never did it,” Raimi told
MTV, adding, “there was too much work to do on
Drag Me to Hell." Fair enough, I guess. But
while we're anxious to see if Spidey-sized success has spoiled one of the
great low-budget filmmakers of all time with his return to horror next year,
Drag Me to Hell simply isn't Evil Dead.
After all, Raimi is the guy who told all of Comic Con this summer that he and his brother were going to leave San Diego, sit down together, and crank out a fourth Evil Dead movie. Huzzah! Who wouldn't be excited about that? And now we're left crestfallen by the brothers Raimi and their inaction.

All hope is not lost, though. Raimi said that Evil Dead 4 has not been scrapped, but it has been placed, in his words, "on the back-burner." And Raimi's got a massive freakin' stove: In addition to Drag Me to Hell, there are two more Spider-Man movies, and those ought to take another three or four years between them. In the words of the great Inigo Montoya, "I hate waiting." So when will Evil Dead Quatro happen, Sam?
“I’m honored some people want to see it, and I’d like to do it, and one day I will,” he added. “I just don’t know when.”
Grumble...grumble.

How old will Bruce "dont call me Ash" Campbell going to be when they make this?
Younger than Ron Perlman in Hellboy, but not by much.
