Thunderously Cool Posters for the Documentary 'Athlete'

I really like it when your first exposure to a film isn't a story on the internet or an unfounded rumor, but is instead something that is so eye-catching you have no choice to find out more about it.I saw this collection of movie posters for Athlete, and was floored.
Posters unearthed at IMP AwardsAren't those incredible? They're the work of the film's director, Yahoo! Creative Manager David Lam, who is making his debut with this documentary. Here's the synopsis, from the film's official website:

"Athlete is a documentary that examines the growing popularity of endurance sports among everyday Americans and profiles a diverse group of individuals who are redefining what it means to be an 'athlete.' The film features ordinary people who balance work, family, and life with an incredible commitment towards achieving extraordinary goals."

We don't have a release date yet - Lam just commented in a recent blog post that the film is finally finished - but the website and the posters plainly tout 2009 as its target. You can also check out a teaser trailer for the film.
