'Alice in Wonderland' Gets Extra Crispy
Friday, October 24, 2008 at 9:25AM
Let's say you're
Tim Burton
and you're putting together a new
Alice in Wonderland movie. Fortunately, we
don't have to deal in that hypothetical and you don't have to try to do that
thing with your hair like Burton does.
Crispin. Hellion. Glover.
We know the movie's happening, we know that Alice will be played by Aussie actress Mia Wasikowska, and we know that Johnny Depp will play the Mad Hatter and Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter will be the white and red queen, respectively. So how do you top all of that?

Perhaps the strangest man in show business still capable of holding down a job, Glover will play the Knave of Hearts in the new film, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and that's just perfect. There's simply no better word to describe it. A combination of performance capture animation and live action 3-D, Alice arrives in theaters on March 5, 2010.
How is it that two such like-minded guys as Burton and Glover have never crossed paths before? I wonder if one ever has nightmares about the other...

Hollywood really needs to give Glover more work so he won't be so bored. Just look at what he comes up with when he's not really working;
1. Glover's cover of Charles Manson's "I'll Never Say Never to Always"
2. Glover's Trilogy of films shot with actors who have Downs Syndrome.
