I think this film will be a big let down to all Dragonball (Z) fans everywhere, it will probably just be an ordinary hero film.

Look this is based on dragonball, before green piccolo was even born. Yes i still think that they should have made dragonball z with vegeta as the villian, because the dragonball series was boring. Piccolo was born from when goku punched LORD PICCOLO in the stomach and then an egg came out of his mouth and there green piccolo was born. The green piccolo became a good guy. This movie is based on goku's training with master roshi, which means before dragonball z and before meeting and marrying chi chi. So all you fans of Dragonball Z don't judge this movie based on Dragonball Z because its not about that, but before that, known as simply Dragonball OKAY. GET OVER IT - -THERE IS NO VEGETA, NO GREEN PICCOLO, NO GOHAN, NO TRUNKS, NO NAPPA----JUST S.H.I.T (i.e. Super Hero In Training). This Super hero is Goku.

If action and other great scene from animation parts are in Movie, I'm not sure what will be.

yea i was trying to have faith that it would be good, but after watching that trailer it looks like crap. i'm really disappointed, it doesn't even look like they got the fighting right. that was the one thing i think they could have translated and would have worked just fine, but no. they had to screw it all the way! awesome.

I REALLY dont like the concept of them making a Dragon Ball movie. It's going to destroy the whole plot, i mean come on piccolo is GREEN. DARK GREEN!!! and even if it was KING PICCOLO he was DARK GREEN! Goku seems nothing as he did in the cartoon, master roshi? GOD i feel this movie is gonna suck, i hope not and i really hope they dont change the storie to an action packed, car destroying, building blowing piece of $#1^. I mean come on, BULMA WITH GUNS!?!?!?!

I will keep hope, but really, Piccolo is green, always has been, was it really so hard to make a green Piccolo? Also his outfit is not right again, not a hard thing to get right and why change it? Goku's outfit looks good, I'm sure he will not be the same character we know and love, but at least he will look right.

In summation: I reserve final judgement until I've seen the movie, I try always not to prejudge things, and there's the chance of reedits and reshoots to fix some of the problems the Fox Marketing people must be reading all over the net(FIX THEM YOU FUCKERS, YOU'RE READING THIS I NKOW YOU ARE! FIX THEM!) but if the movie isn't much, much better than this trailer makes it out to be, James Wong(why the fuck did they get the guy who did "Final Destination 3" and "The One" on this!?) had best start looking for somewhere to hide out over the next few years.

The movie is being marketed towards more people than just us. A lot more. In order to appeal to a wide enough range of audiences, changes in appearances have been made, otherwise a lot of people would peg it "a silly, crappy-looking kids' movie" at first glimpse and BAM, there goes a huge percentage of the audience, and major profits lost.

over-obsessed fans, are not just the only people who might stress over these changes, we're the only people who even notice or care. And guess what, we are a very SMALL percentage of the general population

The "general public" does not have the same deep-rooted attachment to and obsession with the series as fan do. So instead of constantly ragging on and criticizing the creators for "getting it wrong," we should at least try to understand the reasoning behind these changes
