A Look at Jason's First Victims in 'Friday the 13th'

A few new shots from the upcoming remake/reboot of Friday the 13th have popped up over at MTV.

We already know there will be big differences, because Jason does all the killing in the movie. In the original Friday the 13th, Jason's mother, Mrs. Voorhees, was responsible, and Jason was believed to be dead. He didn't start killing until the second movie.

So is this really a remake of the second Friday the 13th or something? No, it's more like a new Jason origin story than anything else. But if it's an origin story, doesn't that mean we'll get sequels? I'd say yes and you'd say yes because there have been more of these movies than you can count on both hands. However, producer Brad Fuller is not so sure, or at least that's what he's saying:

Let me say it this way: The Jason movies, they've sent him into space, they've killed him, and he kept coming back in those movies. So, in our film, we're not concerned necessarily about ending the movie so that there could be a sequel. If [audiences] feel satisfied and they want to go back and see another one, then we have some hard work to do to figure out how we're gonna bring it all back. It was not constructed necessarily for a sequel.

That sounds like Jason dies to me. But hasn't he died plenty of times before?

Here are the pics, featuring a bunch of teenagers that don't know they're about to be slaughtered.
