Trailer - Harrison Ford in the Immigration Drama 'Crossing Over'

On first glance, the new drama Crossing Over looks a lot like Crash with an immigration message. And maybe it's just me, but it kind of looks that way on second glace, too.

That's not to say this looks bad or anything, just that it rings a pretty familiar bell. You've got to admire the cast - Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, and Jim Sturgess lead the ensemble for director Wayne Kramer (The Cooler, Running Scared). The film made headlines recently for being dropped from The Weinstein Company's 2008 schedule, along with several others, to be repositioned in 2009.

Yeah, it's kind of tough to make a movie looking for answers about a subject that itself is looking for answers. Although Crossing Over has been bumped back a bit, we don't know exactly when it's coming out. When we get a release date, we'll let you know. Oh, and Sean Penn is in the cast, but he's not in the trailer, which is something you'd probably want to take advantage of.

Sure it looks like Crash, but at least it's not Firewall 2: Still Burning.
