Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter or Fan Art?
Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11:43AM
Is this really
Johnny Depp
as The Mad Hatter in
Alice in Wonderland? I'm more than skeptical,
but I've been wrong before.
The image comes to us from FanGirlMagazine, and just because that's not one of the usual suspects, it doesn't mean this is not legit. After all, the first place to have the Angels & Demons poster was a website in Iceland. So you never know.
But it does look suspiciously like fan art, doesn't it?

Though we've seen some on-set photos from the Tim Burton re-imagining of Alice, we haven't seen Depp just yet. I wonder how close this shot is to the real thing.

It looks very burtonesque.
A fan would have a hard time coming up with all those quirky details, such as the allsorts cravatte.
The face has slighty less pixelcrunch then the rest so it could be a montage - or just a porly handled original jpeg.
Time will tell.
Why must Depp and Burton destroy my memories?
Gene Wilder is Willy Wonka, and the Mad Hatter is Ed Wynn... and Planet of the Apes is a Charlton Heston classic
It's legit, the movie comes out May 2010.. or something like that.
