Harrison Ford Won't Shut Up About 'Indiana Jones 5'

I've got an idea for the fifth Indiana Jones film, because you know they're going to make it. In fact, Harrison Ford talks more about the fifth film than he did the fourth one. Here's the idea: No kid, no wife. Just Indy vs. whatever it is. A true existentialist bent this time. He's facing his own mortality and you have to face that alone, The Notebook be damned.

I don't have a plot or anything, I just think we should trim the fat a little. It worked in Rocky Balboa, after all.

But Ford is talking again, telling MTV that all they're waiting on is a good idea for George Lucas to run with.

"That’s the process," Indy says. "With some general input he goes off and searches for the MacGuffin and then stumbles into a story. And at some point we have a chance to take a look at and give some input."

But Ford admits there is work being done for a cinquel, noting that, "we’re still in the primary stages." I think my idea of Indy going it alone may not be in the cards, though, because when the subject of how Dr. Jones' life has changed now that he has a wife and son, Ford interjects, "And he’s seen something. Remember those are the only witnesses to what he’s seen. That’s kind of interesting."

Oh great...more aliens.

Umm... I think they were interdimensional beings. I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse. Probably worse.

But Indy IV kept going downhill from a good beginning to a dreadful ending.

Just hire a fresh writer and let him run amock with it. I'm sure it'll be better than spinning discs in craters.
