Trailer - 'Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs'

With a flood of family-friendly movies doing so well at the box office over the past month or so, it's no surprise that Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs has a new trailer. If you've seen either of the first two Ice Age movies - and the original is really entertaining - then you kind of know the score here. It's another rollicking adventure with all your favorite prehistoric creatures (minus Joan Rivers), and they've thrown in some dinosaurs.

I don't want to come off as cynical, but by the time you get to the third animated movie in a series, there aren't a lot of surprises.

This one will be in full-on 3-D, which is a new wrinkle, although having seen Bolt in the traditional two-dimensions, I certainly didn't think it needed more bells and whistles, so maybe that's not a big selling point for a lot of people.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs will be in theaters on July 1, 2009.
