Kirk Version 1.0 Endorses the New Enterprise
Monday, November 24, 2008 at 12:23PM
The original James Tiberius Kirk has a message for
Trekkies everywhere about the new USS Enterprise seen in the new trailer for the
Star Trek prequel/relaunch.

William Shatner, who fought like hell to have a role in the new film (because, after all, Leonard Nimoy will be there as Spock in some form), has openly discussed aspects of the new film on his website, The Shatner Project. In fairness, he talks about a lot of thing on the site, which is his YouTube page, ranging from Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin to a new commentary on a Shatner Thanksgiving. Yeah, that one's especially riveting.
But as it relates to Trek, The Shat says the new Enterprise is A-OK, and praises director J.J. Abrams for his somethingorother.
I wish The Shat would talk about the rest of the trailer and what he thinks about some of his character's backstory. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of the original Capt. Kirk, however, so maybe we'll get that update eventually.
