Rob Schneider Just Won't Go Away

schneider.jpgFirst the bad news: Rob Schneider's making another movie. Now the good news: Like most of the others, you and I probably won't see it unless the remote control gets stuck on TBS one Sunday at 2pm.

Schneider is cashing in on the word "virgin" about three years too late, and he's set to star in the sex comedy Virgin on Bourbon Street, which will start shooting this week in what I think we can all agree are the very sexy, funny, and Cajun streets of Detroit.

Variety reports that Jenna Dewan from Step Up will co-star in the film, and I would presume that between the two of them, she won't be the virgin. But if she is and Rob Schneider's somehow the prize in this arrangement, Jesus, that's a bad idea for a movie.

Well, we're halfway there. Dewan will actually play the virgin, but I still rather doubt she has sex with Rob Schneider. I mean, Seth Rogen putting Heigl and Banks on his mantle is one thing, but come on. This is Deuce Bigalow: The Benchwarmer we're talking about.

In the movie, which was recently sold at the American Film Market, Jenna's an abstinent college student whose university career is threatened by a night of debauchery. What, did she attend a party with the Duke lacrosse team?

I know I've done a pretty miserable job finding the sunshine on this cloudy day, so let's see if the director helps scatter those clouds: Uh...no. It's the same woman who directed The Wedding Date, so that's not good at all.

One of my ex-girlfriends, who really liked Deuce Bigalow, turned out to be a knife-wielding maniac.
