Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 5:41PM Trailer - 'Cadillac Records' Sings the Blues
We sure have waited long enough to see our first
full-length trailer for
Cadillac Records. You may have heard a thing or
two about the musical drama about the birth of the legendary Chess Records. It's
got a great cast playing some of the most influential 20th century singers and
musicians of any kind, including
Beyonce as Etta James,
Mos Def
as Chuck Berry, and
Jeffrey Wright as Muddy Waters.
At the center of it all is
Adrien Brody,
playing Chess Records founder Leonard Chess. That begs the question, "Then why
isn't this called Chess Records?" The answer lies within, my friend.

But did you know this movie is coming out in a month? Yeah, I know. I don't know why they waited until we got to a more competitive November to start drop TV ads and trailers on us, but I think one of these released a month ago would've been a wise move. That's water under the bridge now, but when you watch the trailer, you might think they should've started pushing this movie sooner, too.

Mark it down: Cadillac Records in theaters on December 5th.
