Another New 'Watchmen' Poster

We've got another new Watchmen poster, and I think it's interesting that in the last month, they've gone away from the more identifiable traits of the graphic novel - its logo, the characters - and now has a new look. I don't know what that means exactly, but I'm sure there was a reason. The last poster we saw, the first in this new direction, was completely cool: Guy falling out of a window, plummeting to the busy New York streets below...This one just doesn't do it for me. The animation isn't very good, it can't really sell anyone who's unfamiliar with the concept, and I'm not sure I get it, frankly.

MoviesI don't know if I'd call it a misstep or not, but it's the first thing I've seen from Watchmen, whether we're talking trailers, clips, video journals, interviews, or posters, that doesn't keep the momentum going. But I still can't wait to see what's next. Watchmen hits theaters on March 6th, and if you missed the most recent video journal, it's called Girls Kick Ass, and in this case, they clearly do.
