Harry Potter's
Emma Watson
is looking forward to shooting the last film in the series,
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but not
because she's been playing the same character for nearly a decade. It just so
happens that her favorite Hermione scene is in the last book.
...Now, even though that collection of novels has sold
three gazillion copies, I'm obliged to tell you that there is a SPOILER
that Watson discussed recently with
MTV. So if you're not interested in reading
that part, then these are not the droids you're looking for. You can go about
your business.

As we know or could have assumed, eventually Hermione and Ron Weasley were going to get together, with Ron expertly illustrating the expression, "He outkicked his coverage." Seriously, like she couldn't do better than that guy? Even as a muggle?
Even still, when Watson read the book last summer, she was over the moon about the direction of Hermione's life. "I was thrilled, really. Ron was the right person for her to be with. I think it was amazing that they had kids. It was perfect."
That means, of course, that there will be an advancement of their relationship in the movies, as well, although Watson says she and co-star Rupert Grint haven't broached the subject of their big first kiss. "God no! We haven’t discussed it. I think we’ll have to cross that bridge when we come to it."
But that's not the scene she's looking forward to filming. It's actually the polar opposite of that:
"The scene that really touched me is Ron’s betrayal of Hermione, him leaving her. There’s that wonderful scene where he comes back and Hermione just launches herself at him and starts hitting him and is uncontrollably angry at him and disappointed in him for abandoning her. I’m looking forward to that because it felt very real when I read it."
Deathly Hallows is projected to be two films, which means we have at least three or four more years of the franchise. The sixth in the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens in July 2009.
