The President (Will Ferrell) Says 'You're Welcome America'

What will the world of comedy do without George W. Bush? Eight years ago, we asked that same question about the Clintons, but they never actually went away. But Bush will be different. I think he'll probably lay low for a little while.

So people are getting their shots in while they can, some with more footwear than others. Will Ferrell is taking his sturdy, funny, and convincing impression of Bush to Broadway for You're Welcome America, which will take the stage at the Cort Theatre beginning on Inauguration Day (January 20th) and running until March 15th.

And here now is the President, telling you a little bit more about his show, courtesy of Funny or Die:

If you miss it on Broadway, HBO will broadcast the production at some point, though the date is not yet known.

To turn this satire back around on Ferrell, I hear Bush is planning to grow out his hair, stop working out, and make a sports comedy about a rodeo rider who falls in love with the clown that saves his ass. That'll show him.
