Mr. Skin's Top 20 Nude Scenes of 2008

I never thought I'd say this, but I feel sorry for Mr. Skin. I also feel sorry for the Detroit Lions, which I also never thought I'd say, but Mr. Skin has had a rough year.The purveyor of the prurient is back with another list of the best nude scenes of the year, and let's just say it can't compare to 2007, with Maria Tomei in Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Natalie Portman in Hotel Chevalier, and Christina Ricci in Black Snake Moan. I mean, I'm not even sure that there are actually 20 nude scenes here, and among those that might be, there aren't a whole lot of big names, the kind of thing that really makes this list worthwhile.So while the list is still worth checking out, the inclusion of porn Frankenstein Jenna Jameson from Zombie Strippers kind of tells you all you need to know, doesn't it?Here's the top ten, according to the expert in the field:1 - Mischa Barton - Closing the RingSays Mr. Skin: "Mischa Barton not only goes topless 26 minutes into this World War II drama, but at the 34-minute mark, the O.C. hottie bares T&A. 10- Angelina Jolie - Wanted OK...Angelina wasn't naked in Wanted, so I don't know what that's about. I mean, did I block that out somehow? I simply don't recall an actual nude scene of any kind there. Of the ones I've seen - because some of these movies never made it to theaters - I'd say your best bet is actually Mena Suvari in Stuck. It's a quality movie and a surprisingly good scene.

Angelina actually was naked, briefly, in Wanted we got a full wet back side of Mistress Skeletor in all her...ummm...glory? I so wish the girl would just eat a cheeseburger or two. She was so amazingly hot in Gia (waaaay back in the day). The most glaring omission to Mr. Skin's list this year has got to be Marisa Tomei in the Wrestler! First, she's still wicked hot at 44 and secondly, if she's in 10 scenes in that flick she's fully clothed in, what would you say, two? As far as the rest of his list; aren't Mena, Heather and Asia naked in almost EVERYTHING they do (God bless em)? They should make some kind of list evey time they DON'T take it all off, I'm just sayin.....

...there's the rub, her flat booty ain't what it used to be and, as you've proven, not very memorable either. Here it is;

I should probably be embarrassed, I may know TOO much about female nudity in film. It started with Jaqueline's wet tank top in the Deep and it's all been downhill since then, I am the original Mr. Skin!

OK, but seriously...that counts? That just underscores what I mean by it being a bad year for nudity. And Asia Argento at number three really has to worry us...

No doubt, you are most definitely correct, bad year for the skin (we're going to cinema Hell for even having this conversation) and yet, as I said, MARISA......! C'mon, she follows up her stunning work in Before the Devil... with her inspired turn in The Wrestler and doesn't even make the list? She should be claiming the top spot! (I should also mention her her acting was pretty decent in both of those films, as well).

I can only guess he hasn't seen it. Why Mr. Skin puts this list out in late November and early December is a mystery.

We have to put the Top nude scenes list out in early December or it will get no publicity if we did it over the holidays. Also, I do a big radio promotion of the list and most shows are off the air from December 15th to the end of the year. I am all over Marisa Tomei in the Wrestler but it doesn't even hit theaters until December 19th. That's why I also do my Anatomy Awards around Oscar time to make sure we cover the few nude scenes that happen late in the year.

BTW...Marisa won best nude scene in 2007 for Before The Devil Knows Your Dead.
