'Two Lovers' Poster with Joaquin and Gwyneth

Magnolia Pictures sent over the poster to
Two Lovers earlier in the week, and I apologize
that it's taken a couple of days to get it out here to you. 
The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the lovely Vinessa Shaw, and I think I can say without reservation that this is the biggest role of her career. I can also without reservation that Joaquin Phoenix believes this is the last film of his career. Remember his odd comments about a month ago announcing he was through with acting and saying, more or less, that the music was in him?
I wish him better luck than Don Johnson, seriously, but as an actor Phoenix delivers the kind of characters few actors of his generation can. He's just so damn melancholy. And for what he's setting out to do, Ryan Adams and Conor Oberst have plenty of melancholia for all of us.
