New 'Wrestler,' 'Slumdog' and 'Reader' Quad Posters

We're a couple of days away from our end of the year
list of the best movie posters. I'm a big believer in them, not that they make
the film any better, but that they can positively and negatively influence an
undecided audience about whether or not to see a movie.
We'll get into this more on Tuesday when our list of posters is revealed. Until then, here are three new UK quads that showed up at IMP Awards. Love the one for The Wrestler, am ambivalent about the one for The Reader, and think Slumdog Millionaire misses it completely. If I went to see Slumdog based on that poster, it would not be the movie I expected.

I agree about Slumdog Millionaire -- it is a GREAT movie and deserves the awards it has been winning. However, it is not a "feel good" movie. The ending is feel good, but overall it is a tense drama. The only people who didn't like it are people who make a point of avoiding seeing violence, and they got absolutely freaked out by the violence at the beginning of the movie.
