Monday, December 22, 2008 at 12:00AM Soderbergh Shoots Down Another 'Ocean's' Sequel
All's well that ends well, they say, and that certainly
applies to the Ocean's movies. The first one was good. The second one
everyone would rather forget about. And the third one was a fitting conclusion.
As entirely unnecessary part threes go, it worked.
For some reason, during a recent chat with
Steven
Soderbergh,
MTV asked the question on no one's mind: Will
Soderbergh reassemble
Clooney,
Pitt,
Damon,
and all the others for an Ocean's 14?

Thankfully, Soderbergh has an answer at the ready: “With Bernie Mac being gone, I don’t think any of us would want to return to that.”
That, and come on - what the hell is to gain from a fourth one? Ocean's 14? Seriously? "I was done,” Soderbergh adds, pretty much admitting that well is dry. “It’s sad because that was a fun group of people to hang out with,” he says.
I'm sure it was. And some people love high school. But you move on. And it sounds like everyone has, except for MTV, apparently.

I'd like to see that cast together for an adaptation of Edward Abbey's "The Monkeywrench Gang".
