Trailer - Morgan Freeman in 'The Code'

All things considered, I think I'd very much like to see a movie in which Morgan Freeman plays an old jewel thief. That's as big a part of The Code aka Thick as Thieves, in which Freeman's drawn into that one last job.

I think I'd prefer a more hardscrabble Freeman, perhaps one who doesn't appear to live so comfortably. He's such a cool dude by nature, tacking on a cool criminal background just makes it too much. Maybe give him a limp, borrow Tom Cruise's eyepatch, something.

In The Code, Freeman teams up with another master thief (Antonio Banderas) to steal three Faberge eggs. They're worth about $20 million a piece. Wow...I guess Morgan's divorce is really costing him a pretty penny.

There's no release date yet, and in fact, even though the film has wrapped, the Nu Image/Millennium Films website doesn't have a thing about it. Perhaps it will go direct to DVD? Just a guess.
