Suspect Arrested For Shooting Man While Watching 'Benjamin Button'

OK, so you're sitting there in a theater minding your own business, when all of a sudden a shot rings out a few rows in front of you. That was the situation yesterday in Philadelphia when 29-year-old Joseph Cialella, Jr. could take no more of the talking family in front of him, and pulled out his handgun, shooting the father of the family in the arm. The movie was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but it seemed like Cialella was acting out a scene from Punisher: War Zone. After asking the family repeatedly to shut up one of their children, and at one point throwing popcorn at the boy, the suspect fired a .380 Kel-Tec revolver and got his peace and quiet. While other patrons fled the theater, Cialella remained in his seat, watching the film until police arrived. Police arrested and charged him with attempted murder, aggravated assault, violation of uniform firearms act, possession of an instrument of a crime, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Hmmmmmmmmm, I would have sat through the rest of the movie with the crazy guy because I never talk during a movie in the theatre. Is that horrible of me?

I hate people talking during movies (especially kids), so I respect this guy for doing something we all wish we had the guts to do. It's also pretty badass how he just continued watching the movie after everyone fled.

First of all this makes me want to go and see the movie to see what all the shooting was about.
Second....although no one should shoot anyone, but boy dont we all understand !!!! I just have to tip my hat to him because I feel his pain. Geesh, where was he a few weeks ago when I needed him :-} I hope this will be a lesson for all the loud mouths that go to the movies to discuss everything AND the kitchen sink. Everyone pays the same amount of money that you do to get in..so shut it up!

I understand... that everyone should shut-up and enjoy the movie.... but this guy is definitely fucked-up in the head... Put him in jail for the rest of his life ... this guy is an asshole.

Is there any reason why anyone needs to carry guns inside a movie theater? How about just getting up and moving if you are bothered by another theater goers talking?

It's about respect, no one respects anyone anymore so if you show disrespect you diserve to get shot. And you know the kids were little assholes that should have been shot too.
