Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 12:21AM 'Potter,' 'Transformers' Most Anticipated Movies of 2009
We're almost through looking back at 2008 and shifting our focus to
2009, and
Fandango is leading that charge, polling its users about
what films in 2009 have generated the most interest.

Not too surprisingly, it's potential blockbusters and sequels that are building the most
anticipation. That's why it's strange to me that people always bitch about no new ideas in
Hollywood. Well, stop watching the old ideas, then.
It looks like
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the biggest
film on the radar for both men and women, which makes you think that move by Warner Bros. to
push Potter into 2009 might have worked out. Curiously enough,
Watchmen is not producing a lot of heat, with only 7%
of men listing it at their top choice in 2009.
According to Women:
1 - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 25%
2 - New Moon - 15%

Well, I'm dead excited about New Moon personally. I love the books so much, I am actually obsessed. Twilight has been a huge success, so hopefully New Moon will follow. I am also excited about Harry Potter, as I grew up from the books, and each film, especially form the 3rd onwards has been aamzing. Also Transformers, cuz the first one kicked ass. Yup, the top 3 are my top 3, only New Moon + harry potter can swap over for me :)
The movie that I'm most looking forward to in 2009 is definently New Moon. The Twilight books are my favourite books and Harry Potter follows behind them. I was so upset that Harry Potter's date got pushed back, but I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
I'm most looking forward to Transformers and New Moon.
I rekon A Christmas Carol will do well. It has some well known celebrities in it (Jim Carey and Bob Hoskins in it). Robert Zemwicks is a well known name as he has a canon of popular movies under his belt including Forest Gump and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the latter had Bob Hoskins in.
