All Systems Go for 'Battlestar Galactica' Prequel

Battlestar Galactica fans should relish in the news that Sci Fi Channel has officially given the green light to Caprica, the prequel to the series set a half-century before the Cylon attack on human civilization.

The series will probably debut in early 2010, according to Worst Previews, with the two-hour pilot episode having already been film and slated for a 2009 release on the network. The series will naturally feature stars from the pilot, including Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales, and Polly Walker, among others.

Sci Fi has reportedly ordered 20 hours of Caprica, which includes the two-hour movie, and you have to think this is a direct result of the series finale for Galactica coming on March 20th.
