Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li in 'Street Fighter'

One of the problems people have with Dragonball is the casting, namely Justin Chatwin and Emmy Rossum. I'm not sure it doesn't exist, but I haven't heard the same kind of outcry for another fanboy flick headed our way in early 2009, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) plays the video game character come to life, and perhaps it's the Smallville connection that gets her a pass. That said, I'm not sure she needs a pass, after all, because Coming Soon got a hold of a few new pictures from the film, and she looks like she can hold her own in the role.

You can check out a few more shots over at Coming Soon, but I have to admit, these two are better than I thought they'd be. The Legend of Chun-Li also stars Moon Bloodgood, who's also pretty easy on the eyes, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Chris Klein, who I think is playing a mannequin. Look for the flick on February 27th.

Honestly, there's not a huge uproar about Kristin Kreuk because no one really cares about the new "Street Fighter" movie. We all know they made a terrible movie some 15 years ago, and we all know that this movie will suck as well. With "Dragonball", we had our hopes set on the movie actually being semi-decent. I mean Chow Yun Fat is pretty cool, I guess. All we needed was some no-name martial artist to play Goku and we'd be set...but instead we get Tom Cruise's son from "War of the Worlds" who is a terrible fit...I'm not gonna continue with this, but point is- no uproar because no one gives a crap about a Chun Li movie.

I can't believe they're making this into a movie. So dumb. It might as well be a straight-to-DVD.
