Friday, December 5, 2008 at 12:28PM Anna Faris Lines Up Two More Comedies
I'm not entirely sure where
Anna Faris
ranks in the current hierarchy of funny women, but with the success of
The House Bunny, there's no question she's in a
better position now than she was a year ago. Because of that, you'll soon see
more of her in leading roles.
She signed up for the Seth Rogen comedy Observe and
Report this summer, and you can look for that movie in April, and
The Hollywood Reporter says Faris just inked
two more deals to build on her reputation as a comedienne and her newfound
higher profile.

The first film is some untitled thing Paramount wants to do that will be produced by Happy Madison. Like him or not, as a producer, Adam Sandler has seldom lost any studio money. Witness...uh, The House Bunny, which is also a Paramount product. No details on that yet.
The second flick is called 20 Times a Lady, an adaptation written by Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan. I'm not familiar with Allan's writing, but Crittenden wrote for Seinfeld and The Simpsons and was also an Arrested Development producer. Faris will play a woman going through her sexual history to find Mr. Right, which is hardly original. Still, Anna has earned a few star vehicles, so good for her.

"The House Bunny" was released by Columbia, though I believe it was developed at Paramount.
