The legal/political drama Nothing But the Truth will just sneak in under the wire for awards consideration when it is released in New York on December 19th. The movie stars Kate Beckinsale as a reporter who outs a CIA agent but won't reveal her source.

Yes, it is the Valerie Plame storyline, only not really.

Nothing But the Truth co-stars Matt Dillon, Alan Alda, Angela Bassett, and Vera Farmiga, and is written and directed by critic-turned-filmmaker Rod Lurie.

Though Nothing But the Truth does open on the 19th in Manhattan, most of the rest of the country won't get a chance to see it until January.
