That Is Not a Cell Phone in Andy Samberg's Pocket

I would not call myself an Andy Samberg fan, in large part because I think he's a wildly inconsistent comedian. Some stuff is good, some is really bad (*cough* Hot Rod the movie). But he's had two really good moments on Saturday Night Live this year, the first of which was Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals. Bizarre, completely without context, and an impression you never hear anyone do.

The second keeper of this SNL season occurred this past weekend: A digital short called "I J*** in My Pants."

Granted, the title is hardly clever, but the execution, from the song to the music video to the cameos, is very well done. Oh...by the way, the song isn't bleeped, because it aired in the wonderfully liberated airtime of 12:40am, which probably means this isn't entirely work safe. I wonder if people will complain anyway and the FCC will reject its safe harbor laws.

How that guy can be considered a comedian is such a disgrace. SNL is so far gone into the depths of horrible =(

This reminds me of some of the silly rap songs back in the 80's before rap became violent/hardcore/serious whatever.

I have to say that I enjoyed Hot Rod. I had low expectations and had a good time. Sometimes people expect too much from movies like that. This video wasn't as good as Dick in a Box, but it was still funny and I did enjoy the Timberlake cameo. I agree that Samberg can be inconsistent, but then so are Ben Stiller and Jim Carrey. At least Samberg is having fun doing it, and that always makes it more fun for me.
