'Wall-E' Tops Time's Top Ten Films of the Year

We shared with you
Roger Ebert's
list of the 20 best films of 2008, and we're going to see a lot more
of these between now and the end of the year. Our own list will be announced on
Friday, December 19th.
But I'm going to do something I seldom do here at The
Big Picture and refrain from commenting on these lists as we present them to
you. And with the collection assembled by
Time's
Richard Corliss, that's probably best. Here's a look at Corliss' list
of the best of 2008:

Speed Racer? Ahhaha. What's wrong with him? My Winnipeg is great, I'm glad it's showing up on these lists.
With Speed Racer anywhere near the list and Slumdog only at 7, Richard Corliss is suspect.
I don't know what Richard Corliss makes off his salary at Time Magazine, but I do know this: Disney pays him quite nicely!
Yeah, I would've expected Wall-E (And Bolt, and Hannah Montana...) to be at the top of Leonard Maltin's list, but 'effin Corliss too???
By the way, where the L is Maltin;s list anyway? Boyd?
This list is pretty much disgraceful, but then again its Time magazine and thats not exactly the first place I would go for movie reviews of any kind. I bet this guy has not more qualifications than the movie reviewer for my high school newspaper.

I hear the monkey from Speed Racer is in the running for best supporting actor as well...
Guy Maddin and Speed Racer on the same list?!? Corliss has got himself a good connection to some wicked hydroponic chronic! LOL! What a hack!
