Jason from 'Friday the 13th' is a Detroit Lions Fan

That is not a shot from the remake of The Town That Dreaded Sundown, although it easily could be. But it is from a remake of sorts: The upcoming Friday the 13th.It's Jason, pre-mask, which producer Brad Fuller explains thusly:

"But it was [Damian] Shannon and [Mark] Swift who came up with giving the film that seminal moment where you go from the baghead to the hockey mask. That was something that we all wanted to do in the movie. If we're going to be true to what we're doing here, and tell - obviously not a remake of the first movie and it's not a sequel - key moments from all of the movies, we really wanted to integrate it in our own way."

A-ha...so that's it. It's not a remake, after all, which is what we've been saying because of the original Jason origin story. And it's not a sequel. It's more like a living Cliffs Notes of the entire franchise. I still think I would prefer a straight remake beginning with Mrs. Voorhees.Thanks to Shock Till You Drop for the pic; Friday the 13th will be in theaters on February 13th.
