Friday, February 1, 2008 at 3:00PM Mullets and More: The Worst Hair in Movie History
It's been a good while since we featured a groovy list we found scouring the interwebs. This one is by no means the definitive source on the subject, but you have to wonder why we haven't had a list of the worst hairstyles in movie history before.Maybe there have been some that we overlooked, but I think it's a goldmine. Clearly, this list at Heckler Spray has been inspired by the Prince Valiant bob worn by Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men, but it has its flaws. For instance, there's really nothing wrong with Mark Hamill's hair in Star Wars. Would I wear it? Not now, of course, but it simply can't compare with some on this list.
And why isn't the patented Princess Leia look on here instead? See, these are the questions that need answers.
I think Melanie Griffith perfectly embodies the sentiment "bigger is better" that was so prevalent in 80s culture. That thing on Travolta's head in Battlefield Earth is a contender. And their number one bad hairdo, Tom Hanks' unsightly weave for The DaVinci Code - which he's still married to, apparently - would definitely be a number one seed if you held a bad hair tournament.
But I think we can do better.
