Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 5:55PM New Poster and Trailer for 'The Life Before Her Eyes' With Uma and Evan Rachel Wood
Vadim Perelman made an indelible mark on critics and audiences alike when he adapted The House of Sand and Fog in 2003. Since then, we'll assume he's been waiting for the right projects to come his way: Perelman has three films in the next two years, with The Life Before Her Eyes, a remake of the Korean film Failan, and Angelina Jolie's long-gestating Atlas Shrugged.
The first of these, The Life Before Her Eyes, is based on the novel by Laura Kasischke, about a motivated high school student named Diana (Evan Rachel Wood), whose dream to leave her hometown is shattered after violence erupts in her school. Fifteen years later, Diana (played as an adult by Uma Thurman) is still haunted by the tragic events of that day.
Magnolia Pictures has provided The Big Picture with a brand new poster for the film, which for our money is more dramatic than the first.

And if you want to see a little bit of these two wonderful actresses sharing the same brain and name, here's a trailer:
The Life Before Her Eyes is scheduled for release on April 18th in New York and Los Angeles, with a wider release beginning the following week.
