Movie Trailer - John C. Reilly in 'The Promotion'

Well what do we have here: John C. Reilly, who's almost always the best thing in any movie he does, reaching for a higher rung on the corporate ladder, in a competition against the younger and very driven Seann William Scott.

The brass ring in The Promotion is the manager's job at a swanky new...grocery store. The comedy also stars Jenna Fischer, who has a slightly less embarrassing track record in film than her Office co-star John Krasinski.

I think I've seen dozens of movies like this, and even one starring Seann William Scott (Mr. Woodcock), but rivalry movies can be fun. I'm not going crazy over what I just saw in the trailer, although a fair number of people who've seen The Promotion at SXSW say it's very good. We'll see.

The Promotion hits theaters on June 6th.
