'Righteous Kill' Gets a New Poster, Keeps Tired Old Stars
Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11:50AM
Truthfully, I haven't seen anything - not a trailer or a
plot outline or a bundle of cash with my name on it - that makes me think
Righteous Kill is going to be any good. The selling point, of course, is that it finally pairs
Al Pacino and
Robert De Niro. Yeah, we know they shared 94 seconds of screen
time in
Heat, but come on: Young Vito and Michael Corleone haven't
shared more than one scene together in nearly 40 years? Especially in the last 15 years, when either
one of them would sign on for anything: The Fan, Gigli, The
Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, 88
Minutes...
And so that's the role Righteous Kill will play when
it's released in September. Not surprisingly, Al and Bobby are playing cops and
they're hunting a serial killer.
This new poster is about the most forward-thinking thing
I've seen in connection with the project.
According to Ruby Hornet, it was
designed by Mister Cartoon and Estevan Oriol of SA Studios.

I think I'd rather see more posters from the creative
element behind this than the actual movie, but hey, if you're Righteous Kill,
even a little victory is a victory, right?
