Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 7:03PM Christian Bale Signs On For Two Additional 'Terminator' Flicks
There was a lot of carrying on a couple of weeks ago
when it revealed that
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins would
be a PG-13 film that the franchise had really lost it this time. Of course, the
report reminded me of a fact that I never really cared about: That the
Terminator movies were all rated R before this.
Be that as it may, and despite the fact that
McG is directing the fourth movie, there's a
great deal to like about the direction of the series, and a great deal to like
about the two chapters following it, thanks to the news that
Christian Bale will appear in all three films.
Said
Victor Kubicek of Halcyon, the company behind
the new trilogy, "He's really an actor's actor, so we're very proud."
"Christian was our first choice and he's a big fan of
The Terminator, so we're very lucky," Kubicek
told the BBC, and he also
pointed out that because Bale was already above the title for the Batman
series, there was uncertainty about whether or not he'd want to do another
franchise.
We're a year away from the fourth Terminator
movie (it debuts on May 22, 2009), but details, as expected are a little scarce.
Kubicek says that because not everyone in the film sees the full script, some
plot points must be kept secret.
Among those plot points: Whether or not
Arnold Schwarzenegger would return again in one
of his signature roles. Oh, let's hope not.
Josh Brolin's name has been in the rumor mill
to play a terminator, and we do know
Anton Yelchin,
Sam Worthington,
Moon Bloodgood and
Common are in the cast. Throw Christian Bale's
name into that mix and it's a good place to start.

What, no Brian Austin Green or Summmer Glau? Now I'm pissed.
More Summer Glau is always better than less Summer Glau.
Ooooh not just one movie made of awesomeness but three of them. At this point in the game I worry if Summer Gau is going to get to play any role that does not comprise of being crazy in some shape or form.
