Watch the First Seven Minutes of 'Wanted'
Monday, June 16, 2008 at 11:14AM I love this trend of leaking the first three, five, seven, or ten minutes of a highly anticipated movie. It gives people on the fence a chance to watch some of the flick to see if it's worth the trouble of standing in the summer lines. For people who have been looking forward to the film for a while - like me - it's kind of a reward for waiting so patiently.
If you haven't seen Night Watch, the brilliantly envisioned vampire movie from Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov, you might check that out in the next couple of weeks. His visuals in Wanted will probably move very quickly, and sitting through Night Watch will help you get your sea legs.
And remember, if you live in the Phoenix area and want to check out Wanted before it hits theaters, we've got passes to the see The Big Picture Premiere if you contribute to this week's Top Five list.

Sitting through both Night and Day Watch at the Valley Art, sitting next to like three other people, feeling like I was a part of something really cool and special was an amazing experience indeed. Somehow you knew that this guy was going to go on to bigger and better things with bigger and better production standards (and budgets).
Now Mr. Timur B. comes stateside with a slick looking movie that could be the best thing since the Matrix. And, if only because this site has been hyping it up (looks like the studio might have noticed)...I can't wait.
But since he is Russia's Guillermo Del Toro, let's hope that like Del Toro, Mr. Timur takes his Hollywood experience back to the homeland and finishes the trilogy that made him famous.
Timur Bekmambetov jsut keeps getting better and better. Only problem is you cant blink, else you will miss soemthing.
Incidentally, these are just seven minutes from the film, not the first seven. I was led to believe it was when the video was posted, but having seen Wanted, I can tell you this is about 20 minutes in.
