Later this year,
Jessica Biel will make a little personal
history with the indie flick
Powder Blue. Last summer
it was being reported that Biel would play a
stripper supporting her son as a single mother in the gritty drama, and that to
achieve full effect, she'd strip on-screen, as well.
Naturally, that got one or two people excited for some
reason. Biel, it is rumored, is taking the challenging role to push her
boundaries as an actress, and in hopes of being taken more seriously.
Powder Blue then gained a bit of unwanted
publicity when another its stars,
Patrick Swayze, revealed he had pancreatic
cancer. Earlier this week,
Swayze claimed, "My treatments are working and
I am winning the battle." That's certainly good news.
The film, which also stars Oscar winner
Forest Whitaker,
Ray Liotta, and
Lisa Kudrow, details the string of
circumstances that bring four strangers in Los Angeles together on Christmas
Eve.
We've managed to get a hold of the first poster for
Powder Blue, and I think we're expected to believe that this is Biel in
silhouette:

She's a horrible actress. I've had the unfortunate displeasure to be an extra on her last film, not a very nice girl at all. Her skills as an actress were very limited.
Getting gritty or ugly in a role won't get her taken seriously. Especially getting naked. She always bitches that she is known for her body--so she decides to play a stripper--wow, that helps. She's just an all around bad actress.
I personally think that she is a great actress. She is working very hard to prove that to people. Coming from a tv series, she usually is not taken seriously and many actors and actresses that come from tv series don't have careers beyond that. I think that she is trying and so far she is doing a great job. (I don't believe the person who claims to have been an extra on her last film, for all I know he or she can be someone who hates her and is pretending to be someone else and is trying to ruin her reputation.)
Or maybe you are just a biased fan who doesn't want to believe what Sarah said. The only reason she has a "career" is because she has a great publicist, an A-list boyfriend and because she uses her body to advance her career. Yet her career is still slow, not great and she still can't act.
In the battle of the three hot Jessicas who can't act, I would give a slight edge to Ms. Biel over Alba and Simpson.
I love catfights...
Simpson can sing, not act.
The other two are bad actresses. At least Alba has a gorgeous face. Biel has a man face.
And why would I lie. I have the right to voice my option. I didn't know much about her so I had no ill will towards the girl, unfortunately my time spent on that set was not pleasant due in some part to Jessica.
