New Poster for 'Saw V' Lifeless, By Design

I had to pay to see Saw IV, after Lionsgate deemed it not necessary for critics to watch their Halloween tradition anymore. And frankly, I didn't hate it. I give the Saw series a lot of credit for its overall inventiveness, although I also understand the arguments on the other side that say the films are too gory. Gore doesn't bother me, though, and clearly, it doesn't bother Jigsaw (Tobin Bell).

Now, if you're up to speed on your Saw storylines, Jigsaw ain't breathin' right now. I mean, if you've seen the JFK autopsy photos...it's a lot like that. But the new poster for Saw V makes it appear as though all the king's horses and all the king's men have indeed put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

According to the IMDB synopsis, the new Jigsaw is Hoffman (Costas Mandylor), which is certainly the impression we were left with after IV. So what's up with the poster? Besides general creepiness?

In case you're interested, you can get a big, big version of this poster at Shock Till You Drop.

What's up with the poster? It seems obvious that it's Costas Mandylor wearing a Jigsaw mask!

Oh, it's all so clear now. See. I get it after that massive hint.
