'The Dark Knight' Has Cooler Masks Than 'Face/Off'

I have just seen one of the greatest movie featurettes ever. Man, if the rest of The Dark Knight is as good as this, the rest of summer might as well give up.

And I say this with as little hyperbole as I can, because I don't recall the last time three minutes on clown masks was so arresting. I sift through probably ten or fifteen behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming movies every week, and very rarely will I find one I want to be longer or that I watch again. But this is something else entirely.

One note of caution: If you're one of those people that are afraid of clowns, this might not be the easiest viewing for you. For the rest of us, it's incredibly fascinating, and then when you consider what a small sliver of The Dark Knight this will actually be, you begin to wonder if this much time, thought, and preparation was spent on every facet of the movie. Now there's a prospect.
