'Religulous,' 'Bloodline' Trailers Really Steam The Man Upstairs

41TB1RGZR1L._SL500_AA240_.jpgGod is probably not too pleased right now. For one thing, he's got George W. Bush as His most prominent soldier, an embarrassing bungler if ever there was one.

Yep, there's no doubt the Big Guy shakes his head in disbelief whenever W. opens his mouth to honor Him.

And this year, there's no seventh day set aside for rest. Nope, in 2008, He's got to deal with scathing criticism from documentary filmmakers - like He's got time for unwashed documentary filmmakers. He's got George Bush's messes to clean up!

More famous is the investigation into religion by Bill Maher in the upcoming debunker Religulous, in which Maher travels the world to find out why people believe in certain superstitions the rest of the world doesn't understand.

I sense a lot of disrespect there, and I believe God could sense that, as well.

But Bill Maher's inquiry is nothing compared to British director Bruce Burgess, who takes The Da Vinci Code one step further: He's investigating the theory that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married and had kids in Bloodline. Then, of course, begins a massive 2,000-year cover-up by the Priory of Sion.

What God needs after all this is another Mel Gibson movie.

On second thought...
