The Darkest 'Dark Knight' Trailer Yet

We've seen plenty of trailers for The Dark Knight and I actually didn't even watch this one for several hours after it made its way to me. How different could it be, right?

Well, the truth is, this probably has more of the Joker than any other trailer for the film. It's loaded with his dialogue, a lot of which we've never heard, and it's a far cry from the recent crop of teasers in terms of action. This one is much darker, much more somber. In fact, it fits the mood I'm hoping the film can find.

So if you want to get an earful of Heath Ledger's Joker, get an eyeful of this trailer, which comes to us courtesy of Domino's Pizza. What's the connection? Why, that's the new Gotham City Pizza, which is "shrouded in darkness, cloaked with 50% more pepperoni." Thankfully, that's not in this trailer anywhere, but just on Domino's website.

Give us your feedback and, what the hell, let us know when you plan to stand in line for The Dark Knight...

Thats funny, you won't be the first in line for the movie then due to the fact that it will be showing at midnight or maybe even a little earlier..

I will probably try to make it in line around 10 or so on July 17. That will be a perfect time since there's a good chance at a thunderstorm or duststorm around 5 to 7 and not too long outside that I might need a shower before I get in the theater. Should be awesome, I need a link to the high def trailer of the one you just showed Colin... if there is one.

Yep, I already have tickets for the midnight showing at Seattle's IMAX theater the night of the 17th. A van full of ridiculously geeked-out theatre people are making the hour trip from Olympia. Some of these guys have Batman tattoos. It should be a great night. Hey, Colin, does it deserve the metaphorical ejaculation it was given by Peter Travers?

This is the first trailer/teaser for this movie that actually made my heart accelerate.
I'm not saying the other ones didn't entice me but I was sort of "under"whelmed to tell the truth...Finally, the first true sign that this will be brilliant so thank you heath, chris and christian - it will be memorable.

What I find even more awesome is how the trailers show show short clips of the action... The script and actors alone make the movie intersting with out the action. I just hope they are saving the type of action sequences that sweep you off your feet. I know the rest will be good.

err I mean just shows.. past my bed time..

Definitely the best trailer yet. I don't see how Heath won't win an Oscar for this. Got my ticket to see it on IMAX at midnight. Can't freaking wait.
