'Conan' Gets a Poster Before it Gets a Cast

There must be some genuine excitement about the new Conan the Barbarian movie. I mean, we have our first teaser poster (thanks to IMP), and I don't even think they've cast the role of Conan yet. If they have, then Lionsgate has done a much better job spreading the word about the movie poster than they have about the star, becase I don't know who it is, or if this is him on the poster.

I keep reading Jimmy Fallon, but that might be for some other thing.*

I can't say whether or not the movie will be any good - even the Schwarzenegger original couldn't really be called "good" and we don't have a star or director attached - but I do think it's a good time for the remake. After all, who knows how long audiences will be into swordplay. It worked for 300, so why not give it a shot?

The plan is to give Conan a complete franchise this time, an idea that failed with Arnold in the role. There were two flicks, Barbarian and Destroyer, but there was supposed to be a third, King Conan, that never got off the ground.

Conan will hit theaters next year.

(*Jimmy Fallon is taking over for Conan O'Brien. I hope you got the joke.)

Yest the third one did come out but, Conan was played by Kevin Sorbo I believe.

Ok here it is http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0119484/. It was called Kull the Conqueror.

O yes one more. That picture is off the game Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures.

You can never have too many Jimmy's in late night, I say.

So...OK, the poster's snagged from a video game, but Kull the Conqueror is not the same story. I mean, Conan's not in that movie, right?
