Another Reason to Watch the 'Quantum of Solace' Trailer
Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 2:05PM
Earlier today, I received an e-mail from the video
streaming company
Vividas, and they were touting the trailer for
Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond film. So
what, you say. You already had that trailer online about two weeks ago. What's
the big deal?
The big deal is the big deal. The company claimed
in their letter that,
"The Vividas player offers the highest quality
video at the lowest bandwidth requirements. Vividas provides a high-quality,
full-screen streaming video experience."
Again, I've seen full-screen trailers, and so have you.
Then I clicked on the link for the new
007 trailer...

Kapow! I mean, the trailer was good the first time, but
look at it in this HD format. Color me impressed. I hope to work with Vividas
down the road, because obviously watching a trailer of this quality that streams
very quickly if not instantly is much better than a YouTube video. I didn't have
to install anything (neither did you, right?) and Vividas says they have an
embeddable player, which would be great, because if you're not so techno-savvy,
when you see a trailer here or at one of thousands of other sites, it's usually
embedded content. So if we could get that little item nailed down, I'd be a
happy man. If you have an HD TV or monitor, their stuff works there, too.
I particularly enjoy the high quality with the very
short loading time. I'm glad I saw it with my own eyes.

sir can I have another. That was very impressive. I dont know how they manage it with video compression being what it is, they somehow are able to spit out a full screen of HD video without any need to pre-load the video. I'm spoiled now, every preview that is not in this form will make me love it a little less.
That was awesome. It even worked on my beat up mac! Not many things do.
I can't get it to play...on my Newish Mac...
URRRGGGHHHH!!!
choppy and artifacts all over the place in high motion. My dell dimension coupled with my cable connection couldn't cope with vividas trailer... not impressed, sorry.
See I've got a five-year-old Dell and it went by fine for me. Are you using Firefox? It's been a dream on my end, though; I've watched it probably a half-dozen times already.
It worked with Firefox, but not Safari on the Mac.
Whoa. I just crapped my pants that was so good.
I've seen it on the big screen, but shit to see it turn out looking that great, that fast on my computer, that is amazing
