Sink Your Teeth Into a New Teaser Trailer for 'Twilight'

twilightposter3.jpgOh man, the kids are going crazy for this one. I predict that in two months time, Hot Topic simply will not be able to keep logo and character t-shirts from this movie on the shelves.

Back when I was in high school, the big vampire/outcast movie was The Lost Boys, and I believe the DVD follow-up is due out in the next week or two. Yeah, that's good timing. And then there were some high school kids who had Interview with the Vampire to "relate" to.

Fast forward another few years and it was Underworld, although if you were really thinking those characters shared your problems, you need a drastic change. And now there's Twilight. It's based on a wildly popular young adult novel, and since the studio was kind enough to send me a copy, I promise that I will read it between now and when the film opens, even though I rarely do that sort of thing.

The short story is that a high school loner (Kristen Stewart) falls madly in love with a boy she doesn't quite understand (Robert Pattinson). Turns out he's a vampire. Isn't that always the way it goes?

Here's the brand new second trailer for Twilight, which is directed by Catherine Hardwicke, who does quite well with teen-themed stories:

Usually, movies aimed so squarely at 16-year-olds don't hope for monstrous business. But this is being released on December 12th, right up against The Day the Earth Stood Still. But I think the buzz for this movie's actually better so far.
