Cool 'Terminator Salvation' Photo with Christian Bale in Action
This really has nothing to do with
Christian Bale.
Honest. I know this is the fourth or fifth story we've had featuring Bale today
alone, but what can I say? The former indie God nobody in the mainstream ever
thought about has become a full-fledged movie star, and now he's positioning two
franchises at once.
The Dark Knight, as you may have heard by now,
is in theaters now. And closely aligned with that is his new franchise,
Terminator. Beginning with
Terminator Salvation, Bale plays John Connor in the next trilogy, which should explain
everything. Incidentally, because
T2 is one of the great sequels ever made and
because
T3 was one of the better threequels (a rare feat), if the next three
movies are in that vicinity, could this be among a handful of the best film
series in history? I think if you're talking science fiction, it rises near or
to the top of that list. (Sorry Star Wars fans...you've got at least
three big weaknesses
to go with your two overpowering strengths.)
And Terminator is using The Dark Knight to slingshot
itself into the public eye nearly a year before it's released. The trailer opens
the show for the new Batman movie, and now we've got a pic from Terminator
Salvation featuring - who else? - Christian Bale.
See: This has nothing to do with Bale. He just happens
to be one of next summer's big movies, too, with pictures floating around the
internet on the day this summer's big movie is released. My hands are really
tied on this one.
Incidentally, we got this pic from
AVClub.gr, which I think is a Greek website
that had previously linked to The Big Picture. So, turnabout is fair play.

The future begins for Terminator Salvation on May 22nd.

"That'll teach you for talking smack about Newsies!"
OMG! All started for me as a big joke: come on, McG??? But after reading some interviews with him and Bale, I don't know, it seems Cameron is giving some advices on production and all, let's see.
PS. T3 is a piece of junk!!!
If Bale isn't careful he's going to price himself out of the game, and take these two wonderful franchises with him.
(or maybe it's all part of his plot to get Reign of Fire 2 bankrolled...)
totally looking forward the new Terminator... Christian Bale tends to do a great job no matter what role he takes
