New 'Star Trek' Posters Have Character(s)
Thanks to
TrekMovie (and
IMP Awards) for our first
Star Trek character posters. Seriously, aren't
character posters the shiznit? We owe it all to the Matrix sequels, by
the way, as painful as that is to admit. Those were really the first excellent
use of the concept.
Both The Dark Knight and Hellboy
capitalized on it this summer, and now looking ahead to next May, here's the
first batch for Trek featuring (clockwise)
Zoe Saldana,
Chris Pine,
Zachary Quinto, and
Eric Bana.

Dig them Spock ears.
These are part of the glut of merchandising that will
hit Comic Con next weekend, and if you're interested in bigger, slightly higher
resolution versions of these posters, you can find them at
/film.
Also from
TrekMovie, international release dates, which
have Belgium, Switzerland, and France getting the movie on Wednesday the 6th,
with a few more countries premiering the film on Thursday the 7th, all before
England, the U.S., and Canada get it on the 8th.

C'mon is that really Eric Bana in the top left corner. Damn thats insane makeup but thats got to be another actor.Check out Zach! He looks exactly like Spock. He a cold actor anyway.Gotta give JJ Abrahms props for picking him.But JJ no disrespect but Cloverfield was wickety wack. Oh back to Skylar. When I first started watch Heroes man I hated him(not his acting, his character) scared the crap out of me. You really believe his is that evil.So I cant wait to see what he brings to the beloved character of Spock. The calmness amidst crisis, his intelligence, and that death lock that he'll put on you with those fingers!(or watever its called) Not a trekkie but cant wait to see this younger take reboot of this franchise.
Why post those fuzzy scans from TrekMovie when the Official Star Trek Movie site has high-quality wallpapers of these movie posters?
Look in the Downloads section of the official site...

I dig these posters. They are both retro and modern all at the same time.
Genius.
(By the way, since this movie has already wrapped up, including post production if I'm not mistaken, can Paramount get crack-a-lackin' on part 2? I don't think we need another 7 years between Star Trek movies, especially if this one is as cool as it looks!)
(That goes for you too FOX! Have you bankrolled the 3rd X-files movie yet?)
(And Quentin Tarrantino...are you listening??? We all saw Destiny Turns on the Radio. No-One forgot. So stop effin around and get moving on Inglorious Bastards already!)
Okay. Glad I got that off my chest...
reminds me of the Star Trek posters my dad brought back from the '77 convention. Slightly psychedelic.
